I explore a variety of subject matters. My realistic paintings have focused on people’s body language, given a new meaning to trivial objects, and connected history with today. More recently, an abstract interpretation of archaeology has become the main focus of my work.

For my paintings I have used the camera as a fundamental tool. They may seem purely descriptive of the visual world around us. A second look reveals that they often are part of a series of works around a central theme. When appropriate, I include a critical view of social and political issues. My solo exhibit This is America is a fine example.

I believe that the art and architecture of classical antiquity in the Western tradition are perennial sources for new and original artistic research. My solo exhibit The Acanthus Series, my long-term project focused on ancient Greek and Roman sculpture Analysis, and the evolving trilogy Abstractions of Archaeology illustrate this.

My work has found a home in private collections on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and entered the Collection of Museum Aratro of the University of Molise, Campobasso, Italy, in 2019.
